The original "Robert George Meek Appreciation Society"“Remembering the sounds of Joe Meek and Geoff Goddard”Founded 3ed Febuary 1967Membership includes 5 magazines and the occasional newsletter. £6 in UK.The society was started when Jim Blake, Paul Everett and Ken Wright - on the very day that Joe Meek died, February 3rd 1967.

 

Neither of the societies today RGMAS or JMS would have existed but for the original R.G.M. Appreciation Society! Even more than that it was the drive and determination by Jim Blake and his organizational skills which we have to thank for the present reputation of Joe Meek and Geoff Goddard. We have meetings usually on Saturday afternoons. Sometimes Fridays. If you are interested please let me know and I will let you know meeting dates.
